money can't buy you....

So today they released the Forbes list of the richest people in the world. And of course I scrolled through looking for my Mr. Adequate Plus!!! Yikes! These guys (mostly guys) have money
but money cant buy them looks!
Ok, ok, that is so superficial on my part. But if you are a Billionaire, can't you find a better way to dye your hair than magenta? or corn yellow? And speaking of yellow, guys...get those teeth bleached!
I'm sure there are some lovely, philanthropic great human beings, and most of them are married anyway. The cute ones are 23 and no, I'm not that much of a "cougar." (Though I play one on the radio.)
For real, my little radio show called The Cougar Hour, which is ten minutes, is now being tested on a
station in Sacramento. I'll keep you posted on its progress.
The purpose is to make the term "cougar"...ie. older women who date younger men, less tacky and more
acceptable. We have our needs too, kids! From Mary Tyler Moore to Demi Moore, women are marrying younger guys..in the previously mentioned, 15-20 years younger! It might not work for everyone but it's
an option.
What do you think?

Go, you cougar!

If I were single, I would most definitely date men 10-15 years younger, if they were interested in me. Younger guys often still have that sense of fun and "joie" that men in their late 50s and upward have lost. I flirt like crazy with younger men! ;-)

P.S. The AARP website has an article on "cougars"!

I will admit I do not fully understand the "age" thing. But if the criteria for decisions in one's life is whether they could possibly lead to criticism by others, a less joyful life with buckets full of regret await.

Susan, I should have put a P.S. on my comment above, so here it is. I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on the Academy Awards this year and hope you will have a comment also on the Eliot Spitzer matter. Who would have thought?

the problem with hanging out with younger guys is i find myself thinking a lot about plastic surgery; with an older man, he's really grateful to be with a younger woman.

yeah but as you get older they become ancient!!!if a younger guy is with you, he must not mind. just back out of the bedroom...don't turn around!!

I'm 45 and never been married and have no kids. Younger men are all I meet. It gets rather dull believe it or not, but it's hard finding a man my age who isn't simply put- busted, disgusted and not to be trusted. I think the radio show sounds great.

i'm dating a man since nov. who is 67. I'm 55. He does look old. I've known him 20 years, he was my ceramic professor. Usually i'd see him once a year when he'd come to my art shows. He wasn't coming to see me, i just happen to be exhibiting where he was looking at art. He was always good looking and when i was in school he chased a 25 year old; married her then got divorced after 12 yrs. I guess i still remember him as my hot ceramic teacher. We haven't had sex, so i suspect his thingey doesn't work. Or maybe he's just a gentleman. I like the mystery of waiting to find out.
